  1. Open “Applications”
  2. Open “Utilities folder”
  3. Start “Terminal” and enter following command: “sudo nano/etc/hosts” and then click on return button.
  4. Enter your Pass code
  5. Now use down arrow key to search for ‘gs.apple.com’ entry and when the mouse error is in front of it, make sure that you comment out that entry with the “#” sign typed in before the text line.
  6. Now press Ctrl+O to save the file.
  7. Restore iPhone.


How to fix iTune Error 1013 on Windows system:

  1. Go to Start->Programs -> Accessories
  2. Open notepad or Wordpad
  3. In Notepad click “Open” from file Menu.
  4. Click open and browse following folder : Windows/ System/32/drivers/etc
  5. Click on “Select all documents” in files of type
  6. Open “Hosts”
  7. Delete the line that has this text : “gs.apple.com” or similar text.
  8. Click save and restore iPhone.
